You must provide accurate details and keep your login secure. You are responsible for activity on your account. You must be at least 18 years old to list property.
You are solely responsible for the property, photos, videos, prices and information you post, and you confirm you have the right to advertise them. Listings must follow our Community Guidelines.
Chumba is a platform that connects listers and seekers. We are not a party to any agreement, viewing, payment or tenancy between users, and we do not guarantee any listing, user or transaction. Always verify property in person before paying.
We may screen, remove or refuse any content, and suspend or terminate accounts that breach these Terms or our Guidelines, with or without notice.
Posting on Chumba is free. You may optionally pay to boost (feature) a listing so it appears at the top of the feed and search for a set period. Payments are processed securely via M-Pesa. By paying you authorise the charge for the selected plan.
When your payment is confirmed, your listing becomes featured for the plan’s duration and we notify you by SMS, email and in-app. When the period ends, the listing automatically returns to normal placement and we notify you. Your full payment history is available under Payment history in the app.
Refunds: boost fees are non-refundable once the featured period has started, except where a charge was made in error or a technical fault on our side prevented your listing from being featured — in which case we will re-feature the listing or refund the fee. Boosting increases visibility only; it does not guarantee enquiries, viewings or a sale/let. Prices may change from time to time.
By signing up you agree to receive service messages, including a one-time SMS verification code and email notifications about activity on your account and listings.
Chumba is provided “as is”. To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any loss arising from listings, user conduct, or transactions arranged through the platform.
We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of Chumba means you accept the updated Terms.
